About Maloney Real Estate
Maloney Real Estate, Inc., has operated as a family business for 50 years. Founded in the 1960s by James Maloney, Sr., Maloney Real Estate features a team who manages residential and commercial properties, in addition to conducting light development throughout the Chicago area. Maloney Real Estate incorporated in 1995 and remains small enough to keep a close relationship with tenant and careful oversight of properties.
Employing a minimal staff of one full-time bookkeeper and one janitor, Maloney Real Estate’s leaders currently manage less than 125 residential units and fewer than 15 small commercial spaces. By not overseeing properties outside of the family’s ownership, Maloney Real Estate’s president attributes the firm’s success to an ability to offer personalized attention, unlike most larger companies. In this way, Maloney Real Estate maintains excellent building maintenance and a vested interest in the safety, security, and well-being of tenants. James Maloney, Jr., current President and sole proprietor of Maloney Real Estate, took over the business after his father retired.
A graduate of St. Norbert College, James Maloney holds a real estate broker license in good standing from the State of Illinois. Prior to entering the real estate industry, Mr. Maloney worked as a municipal bond salesman for Norwest Securities and Blunt Ellis & Loewi Incorporated. When away from the Maloney Real Estate offices, James Maloney, Jr., enjoys serving his community. He contributes as a respected board member of the Saints Faith, Hope & Charity Catholic Parish. James Maloney, Jr.’s future plans include incrementally expanding the properties of Maloney Real Estate before passing the firm to the next generation.
